"Läs och skriv med Ylva" is a Swedish educational TV series by UR, designed for children in early elementary school (ages 6–9). Hosted by Ylva Hällen, the program encourages young viewers to explore reading and writing in a fun and imaginative way. Each episode introduces key storytelling elements, such as main characters, setting, goals, challenges, and conclusions, helping children learn the basics of narrative structure. The series uses “story boxes” as visual aids for each element of a story, making the learning process interactive and accessible. Children from across Sweden also contribute by sharing their own stories and reading tips, creating a shared enthusiasm for reading and storytelling.
